About the Organization (關於組織):
The story of the World Business Dialogue has begun many years ago. In 1987 the University of Cologne turned into a convention center when the 1st Deutscher Wirtschaftskongress (= German Business Convention), the predecessor of the World Business Dialogue took place. The topic “Space as a market” proved the founders aim of pioneering a future thinking.
In the beginning the convention took place every second year and the principal language was German. A few years later, in 1997 the 6th German Business Convention had the first English topic: “Return on Globalization”. Four years later the main language turned completely into English and the World Business Dialogue was born. Since 2009 the convention is hosted every year.
